FULHAM AIMING FOR BACK-TO-BACK WINS AGAINST THE HAMMERS

Following their victory against West Bromwich Albion on Monday in their last league match, Fulham aims for back-to-back wins against Westham United. In the match preview, Bobby De Cordova-Reid said he knows of the threats posed by a West Ham United side managed by David Moyes but insists Fulham are going to the London Stadium in great spirits.

Speaking to Fulhamfc.com, he said the Hammers are a good side, so they pose some dangers. He expects them to be solid as a unit especially playing away from home so they can pick up something.
De Cordova-Reid says the team is confident going into the game so they would try and push for maximum points. He hopes the team can get more points in ahead of the upcoming international break. Off the back of a win, he hopes they can push their luck against their opponents.

Symons show simmediate improvement for Fulham

A string of poor results left Fulham at the bottom of the table after seven matches in the season. This led to the dismissal of Felix Magath, who came in as the third manager last season. The German was heavily criticised for his primitive training methods and creating a bad atmosphere in the team. It has been no coincidence that immediately after his exit, results have started improving. Kit Symons, who was appointed as his replacement on a short-term basis, has already secured three victories in the last five matches. Two of them have come in the league and it has lifted Fulham closer to safety.
Amidst a lot of positivity, there has been a talk of Symons getting the job permanently. The caretaker manager refused to get carried away with such speculation, as he said that only the players will determine whether he gets to stay at Fulham or not. Symons accepted that the club will be talking with a number of other candidates for the role, but he said that the talks with owner Shahid Khan have been positive. Fulham’s good run under Symons came to an end after a 2-0 defeat against Middlesbrough before the international break. Symons has the opportunity to get things back on track when they host Norwich during the weekend.
“It’s only been a week, but it’s been longest week in my life. This is my interview, and the more time I get the better. I’ve spoken to the owner on the phone and we had a positive chat. I know they will be talking to other people as well. You do need to know what you’re dealing with. To make Fulhamish decisions you do need to know the fabric of the club, and I’m in a position to know this,” said Symons.

Fulham Backs manager to do well

Fulham’s season went from bad to worse after the team suffered yet another defeat in the latest Championship match at the hands of Nottingham Forest. The 5-3 defeat has raised more pressure from manager Felix Magath, who has strangely said after the match that this campaign is complete catastrophe. The German became the Fulham manager midway through last season but he was unable to prevent them from dropping down to the Championship. Despite this, Fulham have backed their manager extremely well in the summer transfer window.

The German became the Fulham manager midway through last season but he was unable to prevent them from dropping down to the Championship. Despite this, Fulham have backed their manager extremely well in the summer transfer window.
A number of key players have left the club over the summer and Magath has brought in players that he likes. Yet, they have failed to improve results after Fulham find themselves rock bottom of the Championship after seven matches. They have taken only one point during this period and already find themselves four points adrift of safety. They are in danger of slipping from the rest of the pack chasing safety from being relegated to the League One. After going two goals down to Nottingham Forest within 25 minutes, Fulham staged an impressive comeback to enjoy a two-goal lead after 65 minutes. However, there are unable to hold on to this lead for much longer after Nottingham stormed back in front.
“It is a catastrophe. I have never had that before in my career and I am very sorry for our fans. I ask for patience from the fans. I have no doubt we can get up the table. We were very unlucky, we played a good game but things were not good enough for us. We should have had a fourth goal when we were 3-2 up and the game would be done but we didn’t and we made one mistake and they equalise and it revived them,” said the Fulham manager.

Magath Has HUge Task Ahead

Fulham sunk to the bottom spots of the Premier League and have been relegated to the Championship League with Felix Magath having a huge task ahead of him as the tactician is the man elected to return Fulham to the Premier League.
Nikolay Bodurov, Adil Chihi, Mahamadou Diarra, Thomas Eisfeld, Tim Hoogland, Shaun Hutchinson, Ross McCormack, Kostas Stafylidis, Adam Taggart and Kay Voser are all of the players that have been officially confirmed to join Fulham as the main reinforcements for their upcoming quest of earning a promotion spot in the Championship League.

Even though it looks like a long list of players, Magath has maintained a fairly reasonably low transfer budget with 4 of them making their way to Craven Cottage on free transfers.
Felix Magath hinted out that more players could join the team before the transfer window closes but he emphasized in stating that his main objective is to sign players with more experience as he already has plenty of younger players at his disposal.
“We are looking for two or three experienced players. We have a very young squad at the moment so I think we need, for a very difficult season, some experience. I’m very happy with the attitude and ambition of the players we have. Unfortunately, we need other players and I hope we will get them here next week. They belong to Fulham and I am glad that they will come back’’ Magath said.

A large number of players that were considered to be ‘’dead weight’’ have been released from the club with players such as: Charles Banya, Derek Boateng, Matthew Briggs, Damien Duff, John Heitinga, Giorgos Karagounis and David Stockdale being just some of the performers that have been released by Fulham.

Magath Claims He Would Pass On Neymar

Fulham boss Felix Magath has claimed that he would pass the opportunity to sign Brazilian superstar Neymar because he would rather have Thomas Müller in his team. Magath will be in charge of the Fulham team despite their relegation to the Championship after more than a decade in the Premier League. After becoming the third boss for the club last season, he failed to keep them in the Premier League. It was seen as an opportunity for owner Shahid Khan to sack him, but the American has decided to stick with Magath for the time being.

The London club are expected to be one of the big spenders in the Championship, as they target an immediate return to the Premier League. The presence of significant funds in the form of parachute payments will help them cope with the loss of significant revenue. Teams in the Championship received less than half of the team in many that clubs in the Premier League are used to getting. Even the bottom club of the Premier League last season received more than £ 60 million in television money.

Magath says that Müller will be a great fit in any team since he is tactically astute which is not the case with Neymar, who has a lot of talent at his disposal. “I like team players. Players like Neymar, where it’s all about the individual scoring goals… I don’t know. I probably wouldn’t even take him for free. If Neymar wins the World Cup with Brazil, then maybe I’d consider it,” said the German manager. Magath also revealed that he would like to take German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to the Fulham team. The possibilities of such a transfer occurring in the near future, though, are almost impossible with Fulham in the Championship right now.
