Fulham coach says he would get the best out of Berbatov

Rene Meulensteen, the Fulham head coach, thinks that he could help uncover the best in failing Fulham player Dimitar Berbatov, who has managed to score just 1 goal in ten Premier League matches for the struggling Cottagers. Fulham's new chief coach Meulensteen, who earlier worked with the Bulgarian international when he was at Manchester United, hopes he could help the thirty two year old rediscover his form.

Meulensteen said that people knows the talent Dimitar brings to the table. It is quite clear sometimes the foiling that goes with it. That is what one gets with these types of footballers. He added that in some ways they are geniuses and they always find it a challenge to ensure that they could serve those footballers in the right path that they could bring out the best in them for best purpose of the club.

Berbatov switched to Fulham from Manchester United in the year 2012 and since then he scored seventeen goals in forty six matches for the club.

In the mean time, Fulham is looking for Zakaria Labyad, but they would have to resist a tough competition from top Dutch teams PSV Eindhoven and Ajax to land the Sporting Lisbon player. The twenty year old might be allowed to leave Lisbon during the January transfer season. Fulham is among the clubs who are interested to get him in the team.
