Fulham are expected to undergo a busy summer transfer

Fulham are expected to undergo a busy summer transfer window with several players coming in and out of the club.

Manager Kit Symons is being provided full backing by the club owners in order to go ahead with this overhaul after seeing the team finish in a disappointing 17th place. Players like Hugo Rodallega, who were bought to the club with high aspirations, have been extremely disappointing and this is expected to bring a seachange.Rodallega is one of the players out of contract at the end of this campaign and it is highly unlikely that Fulham will renew the deal with only a couple of weeks left.

Symons has revealed that he has been in talks with different agents and clubs in order to conclude the deals as soon as possible. Fulham will not want to leave it late in order to sign their transfer targets since it would disrupt the pre-season preparations. Clubs have been seen to benefit immensely if they sign players much earlier than their rivals. The talk of promotion has not been ruled out at the London club, but they have to improve massively in order to be in and around the top six places come the end of the campaign.

“There’s going to be numerous meetings with agents. We have started already. We’re permanently in meetings with the agents of our existing players and also of potential players who could be coming in. It’s a busy time. We’re contacting other clubs, players and agents. We want to get as much work done early as possible. It’s difficult because ideally everyone wants their business done as early as they can, but quite often players can have two or three clubs they play off each other. If we can get one or two over the line early that takes the pressure off,” said Symons.
