DEMBELE HAPPY AT FULHAM

Fulham midfielder Moussa Dembele has revealed that he is extremely happy to be at the London club, despite reports linking him with Manchester United and Chelsea.

It has been reported in the last few weeks that Belgian midfielder Moussa Dembele was a transfer target of both Manchester United and Chelsea. European Champions Chelsea recently beat Manchester United to the signing of Eden Hazard, and they were looking to do the same in the case of Moussa Dembele as well. The 24-year-old Belgian has become a huge influence in the Fulham midfield, but it was thought that a £ 10 million bid would be enough to secure his services.

Manchester United have liked a dominant figure in the centre of midfield ever since the retirement of Roy Keane.

Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to strengthen his midfield especially considering that Paul Scholes has already revealed that next season will be the final season of his career. The 37-year-old midfielder recently came back from retirement in order to help Manchester United in the second half of the season after the club were struggling with a number of injuries. Manchester City were thought to be the outsiders in the deal to sign Moussa Dembele, but he has now committed his future to Fulham.

"I'm very happy to stay at Fulham, especially because of the boss. I think it's very important to have the backing of the manager and he's a coach who gives me a lot of confidence - that's why I feel I owe it to the gaffer as well. I think every player needs that and I'm no different. I go to training every day and work with joy. It's a fantastic club and I'm not in a hurry to move anywhere," said Moussa Dembele in a recent interview with a football blog.
