CHELSEA INTERESTED IN FULHAM STRIKER
English Premier League side, Chelsea FC are reported to be interested in signing Fulham striker, Moussa Dembele.
The 19-year old forward has had a decent season with Fulham scoring 14 goals in 38 games so far in the Championship.
The French youngster is highly sought after. Chelsea are already in talks with the club over a possible summer move for the player, according to Sky Sources.
The striker has been linked to other English sides such as Manchester United and Tottenham but Chelsea are the clear favorites to land the player.
With the disappointing performances from current strikers, Chelsea hope to open up more attacking options aside the likes of Radamel Falcao, Loic Remy and Alexandre Pato currently plying their trade at the Bridge. Chelsea would favor injecting some youth into their struggling forward line.
Dembele's contract would lapse by season end and the striker could end up having better options especially with his nomination for Football League Young Player of the Year this week.
The player almost joined Spurs during the January transfer window and even underwent a medical but Fulham's decision to keep the striker on loan through the season made the de fall through.
Dembele joined the English Championship side from Paris Saint-Germain when he was just 16-year-old back in 2012 before making his debut the following year against West Ham in the Premier League.
Fulham are at the bottom six of the table in the English Championship especially after a recent disappointing run of games including losing 5 - 0 to Brighton. The team will struggle to retain top talents ahead of next season with their 48 points garnered from playing 43 matches so far.
The team face Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Bolton Wanderers in the next run of games as they finish up the season.
