JOL PRAISES STOCKDALE

The Fulham manager Martin Jol has said that he is extremely happy with the performance from the goalkeeper David Stockdale, who came under intense criticism after the recent defeat at the hands of Swansea last weekend.

The goalkeeper managed to make amends for his erratic performance by producing a stunning display against one of the inform teams in the Premier league – West Brom. Fulham managed a stunning away victory in this match, which was helped them move closer to the top half of the table. Stockdale was one of the best players for Fulham in the match, and Martin Jol, who defended him after the match against Swansea, was quick to praise the player.

Jol said that he is extremely happy to start the New Year with victory, and he hopes that the club will be able to maintain this form over the rest of the year. It has been a tough few weeks for Fulham because they have been unable to find form. The win over West Brom was their first in four matches, while they have managed only two victories since November started. As a result, their lofty position from the early part of the campaign has withered away in recent weeks. Dimitar Berbatov and Kacaniklic scored either side of a goal from Romelu Lukaku.

"I was very happy for him. Against Swansea (On Saturday) I think we deserved the three points more than at Albion. Because of a couple of mistakes, we didn't look very good and that was very disappointing for him and for us because we know that he's a fantastic goalkeeper. Against West Brom, luck was on his side and I'm very happy for David and for the team," said the Dutchman. Fulham will be facing Blackpool in the FA Cup third round this weekend.
