JOL NOT WORRIED

The Fulham manager Martin Jol has said that he is not worried about the future of the star midfielder Moussa Dembele. The Belgian midfielder has been linked with a move to Tottenham as the transfer window deadline day fast approaches.

However, the Fulham manager Martin Jol has said that he does not worry if the 25-year-old left the club because he has enough quality in the squad to be able to replace him. Moussa Dembele has emerged as one of the best midfielders in the country. He recently impressed to a great extent in the 3-2 defeat Fulham suffered at the hands of Manchester United.

After losing Luka Modric to Real Madrid, Tottenham were looking for a creative midfielder who can replace the Croatian in the heart of the Tottenham midfield. They have identified Moussa Dembele as the perfect transfer target because he would not cost more than £ 15 million. Even though there has been a lot of interest surrounding him, the Belgian midfielder has said that he would be happy to stay at Craven cottage if any potential clubs failed to meet the transfer fee with Fulham. This is very different from the statement given by Clint Dempsey, who has refused to play for the club.

“He plays and he likes the club, so there’s no problem. You have to pay a lot of money to get Dembele. There won’t be a lot of clubs putting that sort of money on the table, so I think we are fine,” said the Fulham manager Martin Jol in an interview given to the sky sports regarding the future of his star midfielder. Fulham have been linked with the likes of Dimitar Berbatov and Kieran Richardson in the last few days and could wrap up the double transfer in the next few days.
