JOL HAPPY WITH WIN

Fulham boss Martin Jol was happy with the team's performance on Saturday, which saw them run out as 2-0 winners against Wigan, at the Latic's own home ground.

Fulham were keen to get all three points, especially as they entered the match having lost their previous two matches against Everton and Wilsa Krakow.

The team started well, though it wasn't until just before the stroke of half-time that they broke the deadlock, with Clint Demsey firing in from close range. Midfielder Moussa Dembele put the game beyond doubt in the 61st minute.

After the game, Jol was full of praise for his team. "If you don't score you don't get the points. We deserved to win because over the season we should have picked up four or five more points.

"We changed it around and put Moussa Dembele in midfield. I thought Moussa deserved to score, he was terrific.

"He is so gifted. The next step is for him to score goals. He has all the talent in the world."
