Fulham Backs manager to do well

Fulham’s season went from bad to worse after the team suffered yet another defeat in the latest Championship match at the hands of Nottingham Forest. The 5-3 defeat has raised more pressure from manager Felix Magath, who has strangely said after the match that this campaign is complete catastrophe. The German became the Fulham manager midway through last season but he was unable to prevent them from dropping down to the Championship. Despite this, Fulham have backed their manager extremely well in the summer transfer window.
A number of key players have left the club over the summer and Magath has brought in players that he likes. Yet, they have failed to improve results after Fulham find themselves rock bottom of the Championship after seven matches. They have taken only one point during this period and already find themselves four points adrift of safety. They are in danger of slipping from the rest of the pack chasing safety from being relegated to the League One. After going two goals down to Nottingham Forest within 25 minutes, Fulham staged an impressive comeback to enjoy a two-goal lead after 65 minutes. However, there are unable to hold on to this lead for much longer after Nottingham stormed back in front.
"It is a catastrophe. I have never had that before in my career and I am very sorry for our fans. I ask for patience from the fans. I have no doubt we can get up the table. We were very unlucky, we played a good game but things were not good enough for us. We should have had a fourth goal when we were 3-2 up and the game would be done but we didn't and we made one mistake and they equalise and it revived them,” said the Fulham manager.
